Linwood man charged with child sex crimes in Ky.

LINWOOD, N.C. — A Linwood man is accused of using the Internet to sexually exploit a child over state lines. 

According to Davidson County sheriff’s deputies, Glenn Alan Herring Jr., 23, of 286 Pine Bluff Drive, is charged by Kentucky State Police with sexual exploitation and online enticement of a minor. 

Deputies arrested Herring after the N.C. SBI notified the sheriff’s office of the allegations on Tuesday. 

Herring is being held in the Davidson County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.  He has an extradition hearing slated for Wednesday in Lexington.
