McMichael High School SRO recognized for generosity

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — McMichael High School’s resource officer has been recognized for his dedication and support of the school’s students.

Officer Shane Woodall received a ‘Certificate of Recognition’ by the N.C. Association of School Resource Officers for his “unquestionable dedication and constant generosity shown to the students and educators of North Carolina,” Deputy Kevin Suthard said. 

Woodall has been a deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office since 1999 and has served as the school’s resource officer at since 2003.

He was nominated for his efforts to raise money to help with the funeral expenses of two McMichael students that died last year.
