Convicted felon charged with gun posession in Reidsville

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a convicted felon suspected of being in possession of a firearm on Tuesday.

At approximately 10:42 p.m., deputies responded to Hunley Road after receiving reports that a man was standing on the side of the road shooting a gun into the air.

After arriving to the area and interviewing witnesses, deputies arrested 31-year-old Damien Andre Alverson. He is charged with felonious possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Alverson is being held under $100,000 bond.
