Police: Bank inside Greensboro Walmart robbed

The suspect accused of robbing Woodforest Bank at gunpoint.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Officials said police are investigating a bank robbery inside the Walmart on West Wendover Avenue Monday in Greensboro.

Authorities said police were called to the Wood Forest National Bank branch inside the Walmart just before 8 p.m.

The suspect allegedly went to the bank after closing and demanded money with a handgun and then fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his 30s, 6’0″ to 6’3″, weighing 220 pounds and wearing a white long sleeve button up shirt, dark jeans, black shoes, and a black ball cap.

Police said he was last seen getting into a 1985 or 1986 model Ford F-150 pickup truck, with a white hood and burgundy colored sides, and a wide chrome metal strip across the tailgate.
