Whitset man died after being struck on I-85

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Whitset man died early Sunday morning, after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Interstate 85.

Police responded to I-85 North near Nelson Farm Rd. in reference to a vehicle accident.

According to police, Chad Miller, 30, was walking across I-85 when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Jeffery Robinson, 41, of Prince George Virginia.

Miller was transported to Moses Cone Hospital. He died due to his injuries.

One lane of I-85 North was closed and re-opened after the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.
