RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Highway Patol says three men have died after the car they were in went down an embankment and crashed into a tree south of Raleigh.

The patrol says 21-year-old Devin Mosteller of Clayton was driving the car when it ran off the left side of the road and down the embankment Saturday night.

Authorities identified the other two victims as 18-year-old Christopher Pretty of Clayton and 19-year-old Adonis Banks of Middlesex.

Investigators haven’t determined the cause of the accidents, and are awaiting test results to see if alcohol was a factor.

Banks was a basketball player at Clayton High School and graduated in June.
