GREENSBORO, N.C. — Officials said a house was intentionally set on fire Saturday night in Greensboro.

Police said the fire was reported around 9 p.m. at 618 Marsh Street and nobody was home at the time.

Authorities said about $35,000 in damages was reported.

Police said Gladys Shipman is listed as the owner of the rental property, but they do not believe that the fire is connected to the Shipman business.

Employees of Shipman Family Care said they have had recent trouble either receiving or cashing their paychecks.

The arson investigation is ongoing.
