Police: Mother, three children robbed at home

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are searching for a man who assaulted a mother during a home robbery on Tuesday.

At approximately 6:20 a.m., police responded to a home on the 2700 block of Longpine Road in reference to a robbery.

Police reported  the suspect entered the home and attacked the mother. He then forced her into a closet leaving her three children unattended.

The man ransacked the home and fled the scene on foot.

After the children helped her out of the closet, the mother was treated at Alamance Regional for minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Police provided a incomplete description of the suspect.
