According to the English newspaper The Telegraph, members of the International Quidditch Association (IQA) would like the fictional sport — made real — to be considered for the Olympics.

Alex Benepe of the IQA told the newspaper, “there are a lot more ridiculous sports in the Olympics right now if you ask me, so I think anyone who doubts it should come out and see Quidditch and see how intense it is.”

The game is played as described in author  J.K. Rowling’s bestselling books “Harry Potter,” with athletes carrying brooms between their legs chasing the “Golden Snitch,” another athlete dressed in gold.
