MOCKSVILLE, N.C. — A packaging manufacturer will host a job fair this week to recruit workers for a new plant in Davie County.

Asheboro-based Carolina Precision Plastics Global — which announced in February it would expand its Piedmont Triad operations by opening a third facility in Mocksville — will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at 111 CPP Global Drive (formerly Kaydon Drive).

The $5.3 million manufacturing facility will house positions for 140 manufacturing jobs with an average annual wage of $39,183 before benefits, about $11,000 higher than the average annual wage in Davie County.

CPP Global is a manufacturer of packaging products for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.

The company employs 280 people at its facilities in Asheboro and Greensboro.
