Husband, wife found shot in Clemmons

CLEMMONS, N.C. — Deputies are investigating after a couple was found shot in their Clemmons home. 

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the couple’s home at 6186 Barrington Oaks Drive shortly before 6:15 a.m. Monday. 

Inside the home, deputies said they found Hemang Mahendra Patel, 43, and his wife, Alpa Vishnu Patel, 39, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. 

Both victims were taken by ambulance to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where they are both listed in critical condition as of 2:45 p.m. 

Deputies said they are not searching for any suspects based on their initial findings.
