HIGH POINT, N.C. — A woman said she was outside cutting her hedges when a fox bit her leg twice Saturday in High Point.

Elizabeth Grant said the animal then started biting into the electric cord on her hedge clippers. She said she ran inside and called for help.

Grant said a neighbor came over and shot and killed the fox in her front yard.

“I felt a bite on the back of my leg,” she said. “He bit me twice before I could turn around.”

Grant said she went to the hospital and got shots. It remains uncertain if the animal had rabies.
