Man surrenders in deaths of two in NC

LAURINBURG, N.C. — Laurinburg police said a suspect has surrendered in the shooting deaths of two people last month.

The Fayetteville Observer reported that 24-year-old Terry Edward Lowery of Scotland County turned himself in to police Thursday.

Lowery is charged with killing 18-year-old Larry Wayne and 25-year-old Jennifer Megan Easterling. They were found in Easterling’s home on June 19. Wayne died at the scene. Easterling died later in a Charlotte hospital.

Lowery Is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, burglary, firing a gun in the city limits and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.

It was not clear if he has an attorney.
