WSSU Women’s basketball coach takes new job

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –The current head coach of Winston-Salem State University’s women’s basketball team has resigned after accepting a new position at his Alma mater in Charlotte.

According to the Winston-Salem Journal, Steve Joyner Jr., who has lead WSSU’s Women’s Basketball team for past two years, has accepted the head coaching position at Johnson C. Scott University.

Joyner graduated from J.C. Smith in 2001, where he was the former point-guard for the Golden Bulls, reported the newspaper.
