Police: Man with knife steals cigarettes, car

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for a man accused of using a knife to steal cigarettes and a car from a gas station Thursday morning in Winston-Salem.

Police said the suspect entered Murphy’s USA at 3470 Parkway Village Circle around 5:30 a.m. and stole the female employee’s pocketbook with car keys.

Police said the suspect then stole the victim’s 2007 Chrysler Pacifica.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’8″ to 5’9″ with a slim build and wearing a red mask and green shirt.

Officers said they recovered the stolen car unoccupied around 7:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Kerry Road.
