Drugs, guns and animals seized in Randolph Co.

TROY, N.C. — Randolph County deputies have charged three men after a search resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs, multiple firearms and two wild birds on Monday.

Deputies searched a home located at 3917 Luther Hurley Road after finding 15 marijuana plants near the property.

During the search, deputies seized 149 grams of marijuana, 4 dosages of Alprazolam, drug paraphernalia and 11 firearms.  

Wildlife officers were called in to assist after two Red Tail Hawks were found on the property.

Matthew Wayne Callicutt, 27, was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of holding wildlife in captivity.

Randy Wayne Callicutt, 51, was arrested and charged with possession of firearm by felon, possession drug paraphernalia and two-counts of holding wildlife in captivity.

Bobby Joe Rabon, 29, wasn’t arrested but has been charged with misdemeanor possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of marijuana less that ½ oz, possession of drug paraphernalia, two-counts of holding wildlife in captivity, hunt / take coyotes without a license and take whitetail deer during closed season.
