Suspect sought in Greensboro shooting

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect after they said a man was shot and injured Saturday evening in Greensboro.

The victim told police he was in an altercation with a suspect named Joseph Newman who shot him around 6:30 p.m. in the area of English and McPherson streets.

Police said the victim ran south on English Street and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said warrants were taken out on Joseph Newman for attempted murder. A description of the suspect was not provided.
