Police: Teen shot and injured in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Police are looking for a suspect after they said a 16-year-old boy was shot and injured at a home Monday night in Burlington.

Police said the shooting happened in the 1000 block of Rainey Street around 5:40 p.m. The victim was airlifted to UNC Hospital via helicopter and is listed in stable condition, police said.

The suspect is only described as a black male with dreadlocks and a light complexion. Police said he possibly left in a white or silver Nissan Altima.
