RALEIGH, N.C. — Miss Kinston-Lenoir is the newest Miss North Carolina.

Arlie Honeycutt won the pageant and a $15,000 scholarship Saturday night at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. She will compete at the Miss America pageant in January.

Honeycutt is a Garner native and is a junior studying vocal performance at East Carolina University. She calls her platform “The Domino Effect — Inspiring Volunteerism One Person at a Time.”

Miss Johnston County Bindu Pamarthi finished second, while Miss Tarheel Jessie Smith was third, Miss Central Carolina Brooklyne Williamson was fourth and Miss Queen City Mya Kayler finished fifth in the 75th edition of the pageant.
