REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect who may have dropped a chain necklace while stealing from a roofing company’s truck in Reidsville.

The theft happened on June 14 at 1204 Linville Drive, where the company was installing new roofing at an apartment complex, Capt. Ken Hanks with the Reidsville Police Department said.

Hanks said the suspect or suspects stole a shingle conveyor ladder and broke into the company’s vehicle, from which they stole the vehicle’s battery, a tarp, two boxes of coil roofing nails and a pair of work gloves.

A photo of the necklace was distributed on Thursday because investigators believe the suspect or suspects may have dropped the necklace inside the vehicle during the theft.

No other details were provided.

Anyone with information about the identity of whoever is responsible for the theft is asked to call Crimestoppers or police at (336) 349-1010.
