PINNACLE, N.C. — Country music legend Willie Nelson plans to play a concert Saturday, June 16 at the Jomeokee Park Amphitheater in Pinnacle.

The show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at 1140 Paces Place Road. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door and can be bought at Jomeokee.net.

Nelson is one of country music’s original “outlaws” — along with Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and others — and is known for songs including “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” and “On the Road Again.”

He is also known for his involvement in activism for the use of biofuels and the legalization of marijuana.
