“Bonnet Bandit” sought after Walmart robbery in Reidsville

REIDSVILLE, N.C. – Police are looking to identify a woman who they described as the “Bonnet Bandit” after they said she robbed a Walmart store in Reidsville while wearing a yellow bonnet.

Police responded to a robbery at Walmart, located at1624 NC Hwy 14 in Reidsville, around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

According to police, a suspect wearing a yellow bonnet, red shirt, black pants and a sling, gave a note to a clerk at the customer service desk demanding money.

The suspect exited the store, running toward North Scales Street.

Police report the suspect may have got into a white Ford Taurus parked in the area of Holly Hill Drive and North Scales Street.
