Woman found stabbed in motel parking lot in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, N.C. – Police responded to a local motel after receiving reports that a stabbing had taken place.

On Thursday, police responded to Thomasville Inn, located at 407 National Highway, after a woman was found in the parking lot with a stab wound to the chest.

According to police, Stephanie Adelaide Cranford, 30, of Denton Road, stabbed the victim during a fight outside of the motel.

Cranford has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and inflicting serious injury.

The victim was transported to Thomasville Medical Center where she was treated and released.
