MOUNT AIRY, N.C. -- Police are looking for two men after they said a store clerk was shot and killed during an armed robbery Friday night in Mount Airy.

Police said the suspects entered Zip Food store at 449 North Andy Griffith Parkway and shot and killed 58-year-old Donald Claude Arnder around 11:51 p.m.

Bennie Puckett works at the convenience store and said Arnder's death is a loss to the entire community.

"I've worked here for four and a half years and never been scared," he said. "All of our customers are like family, its like a little community store, everybody knows everybody."

The warrants are for charges of murder, attempted armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Warrants were also obtained for a third suspect, Sarah Lynn Looney, 24, also of the same W. Va. address for conspiracy to commit armed robbery and accessory after the fact to murder.

Looney turned herself into the Bluefield Police Department Saturday night.

The suspects are described as two men dressed in dark clothing with an assault rifle. Police said they may have traveled in a dark passenger car.

Police said one of the suspects was possibly wounded during the shooting.
