Police: Man shoots, injures roommate in Forsyth Co.

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested after deputies said he shot and injured his roommate outside their home Saturday morning in Walkertown.

William Derrick Credle, 37, allegedly got into an argument with the 30-year-old male victim — who is also his cousin – around 8:40 a.m. at their residence at 4790 Pine Hall Road.

Deputies said Credle chased him to a neighbor’s yard and he shot him.

Deputies said the victim was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for surgery. His current condition was not released.

Credle, was charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Deputies said he was placed in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
