Snake blamed for power outage in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — A snake slithered into a transformer and caused a minor power outage in Lexington Thursday evening.

According to a Lexington Utilities dispatcher, the majority of the outages were on the north side of Lexington.

The dispatcher was unable to identify how many customers were affected by the outage.

The outage lasted about 90 minutes.

No other information was provided.
