GREENSBORO, N.C. — A portion of the Sunset Hills neighborhood park in Greensboro was closed Thursday due to an “agitated” swarm of bees.

City officials said the swarm of bees was discovered while city workers were removing a dead tree from an area of the park between East and West Greenway Drive, adjacent to West Market Street.

The area is marked off with yellow ‘Caution’ tape and is expected to reopen to the public within the next 48 hours.
