WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– Police are investigating a Monday night robbery of a local grocery store.

According to police, at 10:30 p.m., two men, armed with shotguns entered Jackson Avenue Grocery at 2413 North Jackson Avenue in Winston-Salem.

The suspects approached the store clerk, who was counting money at the register and demanded the clerk to the ground.

One suspect held the clerk, while the other collected cash from the register.

The suspects fled south on North Jackson Avenue.

A K-9 unit responded to the scene and was unable to track the suspects.

Police did not provide complete description of the suspects.
