Attempted armed robbery suspects arrested in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man and two 15-year-old juveniles accused of trying to rob a sweepstakes store at gunpoint Wednesday night in Winston-Salem were arrested Thursday.

Levi Gutierrez Colon, 19, and the other two suspects allegedly went to Little Vegas Sweepstakes at 4630 S. Main St. around 9:30 p.m. but fled without taking anything.

Police said the suspects were gone by the time they arrived. No injuries were reported.

Colon is charged with robbery and carrying a concealed weapon. Police said a handgun was recovered at the time of his arrest.

Colon is currently in custody of the Forsyth County Jail under a $90,000.00 bond. The other suspects were taken into custody and charged with robbery after secure custody orders were obtained.
