Man stabbed during altercation in Greensboro, suspect charged

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man was stabbed early Tuesday during an altercation outside a Greensboro apartment.

Police responded to 3900 Overland Heights, Apt. E around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday after a reported stabbing. The victim told officers that he was involved in an altercation with the suspect, Ronald Thompson.

During the altercation, the victim received several lacerations from a sharp instrument. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.

He was taken to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment.

The suspect, Ronald Thompson, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He is being held under a $20,000 bond.
