BURLINGTON, N.C. — Environmental crews were called to the scene of a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon in Burlington after it caused a concrete mixture to spill onto the roadway.

The accident happened on Huffman Mill Road near Holly Mill Mall between Church and Mebane Street.

The environmental crews were called in because the mixture, which officials described as “concrete slurry,” could become hazardous if it seeped into storm drains.

It was not exactly clear how long it would take to clean the spill.
