Truck ripped in half by train in Kings Mountain

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — A tractor-trailer carrying bales of cotton was ripped in half by a train in Kings Mountain Friday morning.

According to WSOC, police said the truck got stuck on the tracks and seconds later was demolished by the train.

The accident occurred on Oak Street and Battleground Avenue around 6:30 a.m.

The accident left behind a huge mess, as cotton has spilled all over the scene.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
