On Saturday, May 12, 2012, Family Abuse Services of Alamance County (FAS), in conjunction with Successful Women of Alamance Network (SWAN), will host its second annual Purple Ribbon Gala sponsored by Trisure Insurance.

The event will be at The Alamance Country Club in Burlington, and will include a dinner, silent and live auction, and entertainment will be provided by local favorite band, Graymatter.

Tickets are $40 per person and can only be purchased in advance of the event-none will be sold at the door.

James Holmes, partner with Trisure said that, “our ability to support a great cause in a community that we are trying to establish our presence as an organization” was a driving force in their decision to sponsor the Gala.

Last year’s inaugural event was an overwhelming success in which over two hundred people attended and approximately $17,000 was raised to support the services offered by FAS.

Since 1985, FAS has provided assistance to victims of domestic violence and their families, including, court advocacy, supervised visitation, emergency and transitional housing, and support groups.

Its mission is to erase domestic violence in Alamance County.
