Police: Employees tied up during jewelry store robbery

YADKINVILLE, N.C. — Three suspects are wanted after Yadkinville Police said employees were tied up during a jewelry store robbery on Wednesday.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. at Jones and Jones Jewelers on North State Street. Police said three suspects entered the store, and a handgun was displayed.

The store employees were forced into a back room and had their hands and feet bound before the suspects stole assorted jewelry, police said.

A complete inventory of stolen jewelry should be released soon, police said.

Police described the suspects as one man and two women who appeared to be in their mid 20s. The suspects left the store in a black, late ’90s-model Honda traveling south on Highway 601, police said.

Surveillance video of the suspect vehicle was released Wednesday night, and police said they are working on enhancing other surveillance video.
