CHARLLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte police are investigating the shooting death of a man during an apparent robbery.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they were called to a neighborhood just after noon Tuesday and found 30-year-old Myron Billings with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center where he died.

Police think Billings had arranged to meet the suspect or suspects. Police used a helicopter and searched for a suspect vehicle, but found the car unoccupied nearby a hort time later.

No arrests have been reported.
