FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Police in Fayetteville are investigating the death of a 25-year-old paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division who was found in his apartment.

Army spokesman Staff Sgt. John Mattias said Pfc. Christopher Lundquist of Lancaster, Calif., was found dead Monday morning in his Fayetteville apartment.

Mattias says Lundquist joined the Army last year and was a radio and satellite operator with the headquarters of the 3rd Battalion, 82nd Aviation Regiment and 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division.
