GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A soldier from Greensboro gave his three children a homecoming surprise Friday evening.

Sgt. Adam Plummer, who had been deployed since Sept. 11 of last year, surprised his children, ages 7, 2 and 11 months, at Ham's Restaurant on East Cone Boulevard in Greensboro.

"It's a shock for the most part, because seeing them in person and seeing them on Skype and over the phone is a totally different experience--and actually being able to hold on to them, too," Plummer said.

His youngest child was just four months old when he left on his latest tour to Afghanistan. He's home for two weeks of rest before heading back overseas.
