HIGH POINT, N.C. — This year’s FOX8’s Rabies Clinic shattered our previous record, as more than 1,100 animals were vaccinated in our parking lot over two days.

The final tally as of 5:30 p.m. Friday was 1,128 dogs and cats. The clinic was open for a total of eight hours over those two days.

FOX8 teamed up with Guilford County Animal Control to offer the reduced-cost vaccinations. The $5 vaccinations are good for one year, and three-year vaccinations were available at a higher cost.

Last year, 738 cats and dogs turn out over last year’s one-day clinic.
