Hash, marijuana seized in Davidson County bust

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Two men were arrested after deputies seized several ounces of hash and marijuana Thursday in Davidson County.

James Melvin Passmore, 62, and Joseph Lynn Redding, 25, were arrested in connection with an investigation at 2890 Old Highway 109 in Denton, according to a news release from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation, deputies said they seized 12 ounces of marijuana, two ounces of hash, and $2,549 in cash.

The suspects were both charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They each received $50,000 secured bonds and have pending court dates slated for May 29.
