BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two people were arrested after Burlington Police said shots were fired from a car Monday night.

Curtis David Irwin-Pillsbury, 27, of Elon, and Christopher Lee Hernandez, 16, of Mebane, were arrested Wednesday night without incident, police said.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Albany Street.

Multiple witnesses told police they saw a man inside a red Ford Mustang fire multiple gunshots toward a home. However, no houses were struck and no one was injured, police said.

Police said they picked up shell casings from the roadway and seized an AK-47 assault rifle while arresting the suspects.

Both were charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a firearm from within an enclosure. Irwin-Pillsbury was given an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Both were placed in the Alamance County Jail under $100,000 secured bonds. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are pending, police said.
