Greensboro Police investigate shootings on Jolson Street

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Police are investigating an incident Thursday that resulted in two people being taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police responded to the 600 block of Jolson Street around 2 p.m. Police said they found one person with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The victim told police he was walking on Jolson Street when an altercation happened between several males.

A short time later, another person suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound was found at Wesley Long Hospital, police said. That person, who was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, told police he also was on Jolson Street when an altercation broke out.

Both victims said the altercation led to their gunshot wounds.

No other information, including names and ages of the victims, have been released.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call Crimestoppers at (336) 373-1000.
