Man arrested after stabbing inside store

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man was arrested in connection with a stabbing inside a store Thursday night.

Kenneth Wayne Needham, 26, was arrested after an incident around 7:15 p.m. at the Family Dollar in the 3100 block of Peters Creek Parkway.

Winston-Salem Police said they found Richard J. Brown, 56, of Winston-Salem, inside the store suffering from stab wounds. Police didn’t say what the extent of Brown’s injuries were.

Needham was arrested not too far away from the store, police said. He faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Needham was placed given a $250,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
