Winston-Salem man dies from wreck injuries

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man who was hospitalized after being thrown from a car on March 23 in Winston-Salem has died from injuries.

Ruiz Vincente, 34, of Winston-Salem, was pronounced dead at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Police did not say what day he died.

Police said the single-vehicle wreck happened as Vincente was traveling north in the 4300 block of Ogburn Avenue and his 1995 Honda Civic left the road around 6 p.m.

He was traveling with a 19-year-old passenger who was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Vincente’s death has been Winston-Salem’s ninth fatality of 2012. Police did not release further information.
