20+ arrested in Surry Co. April Fools drug sting

SURRY COUNTY, N.C. — Surry County deputies arrested more than 20 people Sunday morning as part of an undercover drug sting called “Operation April Fools.”

Deputies said the investigation came after months of undercover drug purchases by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office and Mount Airy Police working to target drug dealers in the area.

The suspects face charges including selling and delivering cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and various medications.

Law enforcement agencies from around Surry County participated.

Below is a list of the suspects and their charges as provided by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office. Not all 31 suspects have been arrested.

Friel Morris Allen III, 20, of Pilot Mountain, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.

Bryan Alexander Arroyo-Bravo, 19, of Dobson, was charged with possessing cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Craig Glenn Brindle, 27, of Ararat, was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver morphine.

Matthew Ray Bowman, 31, of Winston-Salem, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver suboxone sch III and selling and delivering suboxone III.

Amy Gwendolyn Farrington Bryant, 36, of Pilot Mountain, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house, possessing drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug vehicle, alteration and removal of serial number from firearm.

Kenneth Daryl Bryant, 43, of Pilot Mountain, was charged with manufacturing marijuana possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house, possessing a drug paraphernalia and removal of serial number from firearm.

Mahala Lynn Campbell, 41, of Mount Airy, was charged with four counts of trafficking opiates, maintaining a drug house and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Rebecca Jo Edwards, 40, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver Percocet sch II, selling and delivering Percocet schedule II, conspiracy to sell and delivery Percocet sch II and maintaining a drug house.

Kenneth Dale Gardner, 48, of Lowgap, was charged with possessing methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Nicole Marie Hale, 36, of Mount Airy, was charged with trafficking opiates (three counts), conspiracy to traffic opiates, possession to sell and deliver opiates and selling and delivering morphine and two counts of maintaining a drug vehicle.

Jessica Renee Hall, 28, of Dobson, was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

Shane Gray Hawks, 22, of Mount Airy, was charged with possessing methamphetamine, maintaining a drug vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Darrell Eugene Hedrick, 48, of Dobson, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a drug house, possessing marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia and removing a serial number from a firearm.

Stephanie Lynn Hiatt, 36, of Mount Airy, was charged with possessing methamphetamine, maintaining a drug vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Clifton Hodges, 27, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, selling and delivering cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, selling and delivering marijuana and maintaining a drug vehicle.

Colin Dewayne Holiday, 30, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, cocaine possession, maintain a drug vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Gregory Todd Inman, 46, of Westfield, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia.                                                                                                                                                  Jonathon Maurice Jessup, 27, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, selling and delivering cocaine and maintaining a drug house.

Michael Wade Mabe, 29, of Mount Airy, was charged with possessing methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine, maintaining a drug vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Davie Ray Marion, 43, of Elkin, was charged with trafficking opiates and maintaining a drug house.

Jeffery Alan Mauldin, 46, of Elkin, was charged with possessing cocaine, maintaining a drug house and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Amber Ann McCraw, 19, of Dobson, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver Percocet sch II and conspiracy to sell and deliver Percocet sch II.

Joshua Lee Miller, 22, of Siloam, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, selling and delivering marijuana and conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana.  Gender: Male

Brenda Hawks Orozco, 33, of Pilot Mountain, was charged with possession with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house and possessing drug paraphernalia.

John James Pavlisak, 44, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Stacy Lee Phillips, 29, of Lowgap, was charged with possession of heroin, maintaining a drug house and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Justin Mason Quesenberry, 20, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, selling and delivering marijuana, maintaining a drug vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Rosa Potts Ramirez, 50, of Mount Airy, was charged with trafficking opiates (four counts), conspiracy to traffic opiates and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Brandon Ram Srinath, 21, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver opiates, selling and delivering opiates and maintaining a drug vehicle.

William Bryan Walker Jr., 21, of Elkin, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver ecstasy, maintaining a drug vehicle, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Marquis Anthony Hodges Whitlock, 26, of Mount Airy, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver opiates, possession of opiates, maintaining a drug vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.
