DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man has been charged in the deaths of two people and with wounding two others at a tire store.

Twenty-four-year-old Obrian McNeil White of Durham was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Those killed March 23 at J.T. Tire were 65-year-old Naomi Wright and 32-year-old Abdelgadir Mergany Abdelganir. Wright was at the front desk while Abdelganir was a cab driver who was getting a tire fixed.

Store employee Terry Shaw and customer Javier Ramirez remain hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Durham County Sheriff Michael Andrews says Durham police arrested White on several weapons-related charged Friday morning. He says forensic evidence collected at the shooting scene linked him to the crimes.
