BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man armed with a gun robbed a sweepstakes business and its owner on Monday night.

Police said someone robbed the CC Sweepstakes Internet Center at 407 Harden St. around 10:15 p.m. Monday.

Officers said the suspect pointed a gun at the business owner and demanded money. The robber struck the victim in the face with the gun and walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The store owner was treated for minor facial injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 5’8″ and a medium build. He was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, blue jeans and a black ski mask.
