Suspects ID’d in robbery, assault at Burlington bar

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington Police have identified two suspects after a man was beaten and robbed at a bar Wednesday night.

Jeremy Dale Wase, 26, and Robert William Wagoner, 54, are wanted after an incident at Nappy’s Bar and Lounge on West Webb Avenue around 11:40 p.m., police said.

Police said they arrived to a 38-year-old victim lying on the patio behind the business. The victim told police two men jumped and beat him and took an undetermined amount of cash from him.

The victim also told police one of the suspects threatened to shoot him.

The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries at Alamance Regional Medical center.

Wase and Wagoner are wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault by strangulation and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

The suspects were last seen driving in a Ford F150 pickup truck that was either dark green or teal and silver, police said.
