Burlington man charged with multiple break-ins

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man accused of breaking into several Burlington businesses was arrested Thursday morning.

Brian Ricks Snead, 39, of Burlington, allegedly broke into the NC Graduate Services at 1031 Chapel Hill Road around 12:20 a.m. later Club Kryptonite at 2437 Corporation Parkway.

Officers said they discovered a broken window at the NC Graduate Services after being called by an alarm. They said they then heard glass breaking near the Burlington Outlets while securing the perimeter.

They said they then discovered a broken window at Club Kryptonite and whiskey bottled scattered in the parking lot.

Police said they found the suspect shortly later near the Graham Sporting Goods building was covered in mud and soaking wet.

He is also suspected of breaking into The Mayberry Restaurant at 1356 S. Church St., The Diamond P Western Store, Burlington Shoes Corporation Parkway and U-Store-It at 382 Harden St.

Police said he stole $5,000 worth of class rings from the NC Graduate Services and $2,000 worth of alcohol from Club Kryptonite.

He faces multiple charges of breaking and entering and larceny. Bond has currently not been set. The investigation is ongoing.
