DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Not only was a Davidson County family cast as extras in "The Hunger Games." They were also invited to the premiere in Hollywood.

Lorinda Couch and her children, Audrey, 16, and Grant, 14, drove down to Shelby for a shoot last May. Lorinda and Audrey just got back home from the glitz and glamor of the red carpet.

"It was crazy. I kept saying, 'Is this real?' Just to be in the middle of all these stars walking by, and the media, the mania and the craziness of it all--it was just wild," Lorinda said.

And on top of that, Audrey is pictured in this week's edition of People magazine.

"People magazine called last night and said they were going to overnight us a magazine and that Audrey was in it," Lorinda said. "I said, 'Wow, isn't that awesome?'"

They did see the film at the premiere, but don't ask them how much they're in it.

"You get so involved in the movie you forget you were in the movie," Lorinda said. "Then you think, 'Wait, was that Grant?' I'm hoping next time I see it, I can sit back and look for people that I know."

Lorinda said her family's experience not only sparked an interest in show biz for her children but also let them for lifelong new friends outside their regular social circles.

The movie is out in theaters March 23.
