KING N.C. — A ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Sheetz gas station/convenience store takes place Thursday morning in King.

The event starts at 11 a.m. at 703 E. King St. and the first 50 area residents in attendance will get a $100 Sheetz gift card.

Stokes County officials and Sheetz Vice President of Operations, Travis Sheetz, said they plan to attend.

Officials said the opening will include games for prizes and samples of Sheetz food and drinks for customers.

The East King Street location is one of ten new Sheetz stores opening in North Carolina this year and will offer around 40 new full and part time jobs, officials said.
